Summers are here, and so you need to take good care of your skin. Apart from dehydrating you, the hot weather creates a lot of problems for the skin, like tanning, oiliness, open pores, early ageing and pigmentation. Even stepping out to go to a salon causes you more harm than benefit. But, who needs to go to the salon when you can make so many amazing face masks at home with easily available ingredients.

Papaya Antioxidant Mask

Papaya is great for rejuvenating the skin. It’s rich in antioxidants and enzymes, which help in getting rid of old and dead skin cells, giving way to new fresh cells. Lemon exfoliates and tones the skin, while honey moisturizes and soothes the skin.


Papaya- peeled and seeded
½ tsp honey
¼ tsp lemon juice
How to make it?

Mash the papaya in a mixer until it becomes a smooth paste. Now, add honey and lemon juice, and mix properly. Apply it all over the face avoiding the eyes. Let it dry and rinse with after 10-15 minutes.


The caffeine content in this mask is great for detoxifying and reducing the puffiness on your face. The yogurt base is great to restock moisture in your skin. This mask will also take down a few years from your face instantly.


2 tbsp freshly ground coffee
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp yogurt
How to make it?

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to form a spreadable mixture. Allow it to dry on your skin for about 10 minutes. Since this would be a grainy mixture, exfoliate your skin by scrubbing gently when you remove this pack. Rinse thoroughly and enjoy your young and fresh skin.


Avocado and honey mask is great to restore the moisture in the skin, which is lost in the dry heat of summers. Victoria Beckham and Jessica Beil swear by this mask for summers. Coconut oil replenishes the moisture, while honey repairs the chaffed and scaly skin. Avocado provides nutrition to your skin with a delicious smell and freshness.


½ ripe avocados
½ tsp coconut oil
2 tbsp honey
How to make it?

Mash avocados to a fine creamy texture and add honey and coconut oil to it. Apply it all over your face and keep for 15 minutes until dry. Wash off with warm water and dab dry with a towel.
Drink Adequate Water

Dehydration can make the skin dull and tired. This problem can be solved by drinking a lot of water. Drink water when you wake up in morning. Keep drinking water the whole day. It will hydrate the skin and help in making it fresh and bright.

Wash The Face

It is possible to make the skin fresh and bright by simply washing it with water. Use normal tap water for washing the face. It will be beneficial if you do this after returning home from a tired day at the office. It will revive the tired skin.

Ice Treatment

Ice treatment helps in improving the skin and removing dullness from it. Apply ice cube on face with a rubbing movement. Before that, you can apply ice cold water on face. This ice remedy helps in improving blood circulation in face and making the face bright.
