The simplest way is to use a juicer and celery combined with other fruits and vegetables. Celery can be freely mixed with other fruit and vegetable juices such as carrot juice, apple or cucumber. A mixture of juice from carrots, beetroot, and celery seed in a ratio of 8: 3: 5 is recommended, carrots, cabbage, and celery seed in a ratio of 1: 4: 5 and carrots, celery and radish in the ratio of 8: 5: 3.
Why is celery so great?
Celery juice is full of nutrients and is among the healthiest fluids that enter your body. Because it is very alkaline, it balances the pH of the body, which due to industrially processed foods, is often acidified.
Celery leaves are rich in vitamin A, while the stems are an excellent source of vitamins B1, B2, B6 and C, they are full of potassium, folate, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, sodium and essential amino acids. There are also plant hormones and valuable essential oils that give celery a specific smell. This oil affects well the nervous system and soothes it.
It is interesting that the celery is rich in sodium, which is different from the salt we normally use in the kitchen. Namely, the table salt is composed of insoluble inorganic compounds, which lead to the development of varicose veins, damaged arteries, and other diseases. On the other hand, the sodium in celery is soluble in water, so the body can better use it and maintain the hydration of the cells.
Celery is known to contain at least eight kinds of anti cancerous compounds. Research at Rutgers University in New Jersey found that celery contains many ingredients which prevent the spread of cancer, such as acetylenic and folic acid. Coumarin is another phytochemical, which prevents effects of free radicals, thus preventing the development of cancer of the colon and stomach. Lowers cholesterol
Laboratory studies have shown that butyl phthalide, a chemical compound from celery, can reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol. According to researchers from the University of Chicago, celery lowers cholesterol levels by as much as seven times, if you eat only two stems per day. Celery also helps in increasing the secretion of bile acids which removes cholesterol from the body.
Helps in digestion
Special nutrients from the fiber help celery for the intestinal motility. This makes celery a natural laxative.
Potassium and sodium in celery juice are powerful regulators that stimulate the production of urine, helping to the body to get rid of excess fluid.
Polyacetylene in celery is an incredible agent for the relief of inflammation, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, asthma, and bronchitis. A study published by the American Academy of Sciences revealed that another powerful phytochemicals from celery, luteolin, prevents the activation of pathways that allow the generation of inflammation in the brain. Luteolin also inhibits excess of TNF-alpha production, the direct cause of the inflammation. You can drink celery juice as much as you want, without any fear of overdose (just make sure it is from organic farming so that it does not contain harmful pesticides).
Lowers blood pressure
Celery reduces high blood pressure. Studies show that drinking celery juice daily for a week can significantly reduce blood pressure. The compounds called phthalides help relax the muscles around the blood vessels, widen the blood vessels and allow easier blood flow. Phtalides reduce the level of hormone stress, which, among other things, causes the compression of the blood vessels.
Minerals and essential oils in celery juice have a calming effect on the nervous system, which is useful for those who suffer from insomnia. High levels of magnesium will help you relax and go into restful sleep.
Drinking celery juice throughout the day helps curb the desire for sweets. You fill the stomach, but not with calories.
Elimination and prevention of occurrence of stones
Celery juice is an incredible eliminator of toxins from the body, thus helping to break up and expel urinary stones and gallstones.
How to make the juice
The simplest way is to use a juicer and celery combined with other fruits and vegetables. Celery can be freely mixed with other fruit and vegetable juices such as carrot juice, apple or cucumber. A mixture of juice from carrots, beetroot, and celery seed in a ratio of 8: 3: 5 is recommended, carrots, cabbage, and celery seed in a ratio of 1: 4: 5 and carrots, celery and radish in the ratio of 8: 5: 3
– 2 handfuls of spinach (good for the brain)

You don’t have to follow strictly the amounts specified in the recipe (and if you do not have everything you need, some can be omitted). More or less of some of these foods will not hurt. At the end you should get about one liter of beverage and you can always increase the volume by adding a little water. Put all the ingredients into the blender, mix well and serve immediately.
