How to make it
If you are over 40 then you have already felt the first body changes such as painful joints especially pain in knees, shoulders and elbows.
In young people, this pain may appear because of arthritis,rheumatism, fractures, overload, or trauma. A lot of drugs and remedies exist and they promise you elimination of this pain, but after a short period of time the pain is back.
Fortunately, the folk medicine gives us a natural and simple remedy which will help you remove the pain with only a single use. All the ingredients needed, can be found in your kitchen
What you need:
- 1 tbsp. of mustard
- 1 tbsp. of honey
- 1 tbsp. of water
- 1 tbsp. of Himalayan salt
How to prepare it:
Mix all the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous mixture. Put this mixture in an empty cream box or other packing.
Homemade Mustard Recipe
makes 3 half-pints
2 ounces mustard seeds (1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons)
1 cup white wine, or more if needed
1/2 cup wine vinegar, cider vinegar, malt vinegar, or distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon pickling or fine sea salt
1. Put the mustard seeds in a small bowl, cover with the wine, vinegar, and water, and let soak overnight.
2. Transfer the seeds and liquid to a blender or food processor. Add the honey, allspice, and salt. Blend until the mixture is thick and smooth. If the mustard is too thick, add more wine, vinegar, or water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture has a pleasing texture. Give the mixture a final blend and pour into sterilized hot half-pint canning jars. Store in the refrigerator. It will keep at least 6 months.
How to use it
It is better to use this mixture before going to bed so that the joints can rest after the treatment.
Rub this mixture on a painful joint then put a plastic bag over it and then tie a warm, woolen scarf. Wash it with lukewarm water in the morning.
Repeat this procedure 4-5 days, but only after the first use, you will feel a significant improvement. Keep the mixture in a fridge.
Mustard and its benefits
Mustard is made from mustards seeds and offers a lot of health benefits. In cases of skin burn, apply a thick layer of mustard and the pain will disappear.
Besides this, if you have a cold or scratchy throat, take 1 tbsp. of mustard melting it in your mouth slowly. If you have a headache, apply some mustard on the forehead and the temples.
